Cross-Curricular Statements

Over 50 cross-curricular statements are currently available in the Junior Certificate School Programme. Cross-curricular statements refer to knowledge, ability or skills which are common to a number of subjects in the Junior Certificate curriculum. For example, a cross-curricular statement titled ‘Craft and Materials: Construction and Assembly’ states:

At Junior Certificate Level the student can: Work with a range of craft materials to create and finish a piece of work.

Like subject statements, cross-curricular statements have been written by practising teachers.
