SL1003: Differentiated Strategies for Mixed Ability Learning & Teaching
Target Group
This course is targeted at teachers who are interested in exploring a range of Differentiated Teaching Methodologies that can engage the diverse range of learners in our classrooms.
Course Aims
• Appreciate the rationale for Differentiated Instruction and Mixed Ability settings
• Better understand how students learn by examining the theories of Learning Styles, Thinking Styles and Multiple Intelligences.
• Explore Active Learning and Teaching methodologies that can engage all learners in the classroom.
• Develop instructional strategies for Differentiated Learning
• Undertake some action research in teachers’ own work situations to reflect on practice and share classroom experience with participants
