SL1006: Co-operative Learning - for teachers of all subjects - A new approach to Classroom Management in the Diverse/Inclusive Classroom

Target Group: Second level Teachers across all subject disciplines that wish to:
• Learn effective Mixed Ability Teaching methods
• Practice active learning methodologies
• Broaden their repertoire of Classroom Management skills
• Improve levels of pupil achievement
• Enhance discipline and the emotional / psychological climate of the classroom
Course Aims: Teachers will be able to:
• Implement Cooperative Learning methods and build cooperative relationships
• Structure the Five Basic Elements of Cooperative Learning into each class
• Practice a wide range of teaching methods
• Implement Distributed Leadership in class
• Teach their students effective teamwork skills
