SL0916: Using ICT to enhance teaching and learning in the Classroom

Target Group: Teachers who wish to utilise ICT to enhance their teaching and their students’ learning.
Course Aims: By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

 Consider how the use of ICTs can motivate and engage the wide range of learners in the modern diverse classroom
 Demonstrate how technology can facilitate and support better learning in the classroom
 Exploit the effective educational opportunities afforded by the Web, and in particular Web2.0, to enhance learning
 Examine how ICTs can assist in providing for individual learning needs in the classroom
 Evaluate a range of freely available online resources
 Collaborate with other teachers on ideas for implementing uses of ICTs
