SL0912: Strategies to Prevent, Identify and Respond to Bullying Behaviour in Schools

Target Group: Teachers, Coordinators, SPHE Coordinators, Year Heads, Post Holders, Guidance Counsellors, Care Team, Principals, Deputy Principals, Chaplains - that contribute to or have an interest in a whole school approach to anti-bullying.
Course Aims: Outcomes - Teachers will be able to:

• Raise awareness with regard to bullying in their school

• Understand the group nature bullying

• Differentiate between bullying and other unacceptable behaviour

• Implement an anti bullying programme linked to policy

• Make it safe to tell

• Identifying victims of hidden bullying

• Develop the skills to respond competently to bullying incidents

• Lead a Whole School Approach
